Sounds pretty good, I'm reading a Dean Koontz novel now,,,,
Love his stuff.

I'm a big fan of an author named Laird Barron, another supernatural/cosmic horror type writer.

He's a trapper and hunter from Alaska turned author, and all of the settings for his books (nearly all of them are collections of short stories) take place in Alaska and Upper Washington area.

He's really crude and there are lots of adult-type themes in the stories, so if you do decide to read some go into it knowing that.

Pretty much every protagonist in his tales is an awful person in their own right.

None of the stories end well, but man does he have a knack for story telling.
