Broken legged gobbler !

Got this ol gobbler yesterday . I put the legs, thighs and wings in the crockpot soon after cleaning . Got home from work tonight and was cleaning them up and noticed this . Wonder how long he hobbled around until it healed ? Pretty remarkable critters .

That was a heck of a break, bet it took close to a year to heal up

Kinda both . Next door to a little piece of public I’ve been hunting for years . I finally got up the nerve to ask the landowner if I could access the public through their property and was grateful that they said yes and I could hunt theirs also

That’s what I thought about myself when I seen it . Fortunately I didn’t have to chase him . It was one of those once in a season hunts . Heard him gobble , got about 75-100 yards from him , called once , he gobbled , dead in about 5 minutes .

Just talkin about this bird again with BIL at the camp fire.... idk of m you name stuff or not but pirate bird or blackbeard or something would be perfect
