Camping at FDR sp

We went down for the weekend and got a cabin, while there I noticed trucks and cars parked at the trail crossing lots and they never moved all weekend, Can you hike the trail and camp anywhere along the path or or there assigined camp sites. Chris

There are assigned campsites on the Pine Mountain Trail. First come first serve. Here is some more info...
