To your question will it do it yes, if it's thick and nasty there's a very good chance you tear up your tractor or his mower, now it's it's just a dog fennel covered pasture thick with grass maybe, im leary of "old fields" to many oh yeah I forgot to mention there's a lighter stump over in that corner but you found it. If you've never worked the field be prepared to find anything and everything under the sun out there. Ask if there's any sudden elevation changing drainages. Nothing like running the front of a tractor in a 4ft hole. First time over its just better to go slow and make extra careful not to find bad situations
