carpet target

I seen on YouTube where these guys are using scrap carpet to build layered targets. kind of like the block. thinking about giving it a shot. anyone ever tried it?

After you build it turn the target so the layers are vertical and adjust the tension to allow for easier arrow removal. They last forever.

I had one for 15 years. Used a steel c channel on top and bottom connected with all thread to press them together. It was stolen and I've been shooting 3d targets ever since.

They will work for archery equipment. Will not work if using a crossbow. They are too fast.

I’m going build one myself. Gonna do a 2x6 frame. And either use all tread or ratchet straps to compress layers. Just don’t use broad heads lol….A buddy of mine had one it lasted for years.

Build a wooden frame wrap with chicken wire then stuff it with old carpet works great!

I like to use a hanging piece of carpet as a backstop - an arrow goes thru and hits that, stops.

I have heard Shaw has a company store in Dalton that sales targets made from scrap pad or carpet. Need to get one of our reps or drivers to check it out.
