Carter’s Lake Wheelchair Deer Hunt

Friday, November 2, 2012 through Sunday, November 4th 2012
Location: Carters Lake Coosawattee WMA- Maps with food plots and other information will be handed out at the pre-hunt meeting November 1st, 12:00 noon, at the DNR Check-In station

Hunters should plan to attend a pre-hunt meeting on November 1 at the DNR Check-In station at 12:00 noon. The Check-In station is located near the Carters Powerhouse, off old Highway 411 in Murray County. The address is: 975 Powerhouse Rd. Chatsworth GA 30705-6837.
During the meeting, details about hunting rules and regulations will be discussed and maps of the hunting locations will be provided. If you cannot make this meeting, a DNR Ranger will be at the Check-In station to check you in during the hunt.
Free camping will be available for hunters.
Hunters will be permitted to use all-terrain vehicles and hunting will be permitted in Doll Mountain Campground, which has excellent wheelchair accessibility for hunting. Camping will also be available at Woodring Campground. Corps of Engineers Rangers and Department of Natural Resource Officers will be available to assist hunters.
