Until I get a 36 inch Northern,,,,their going back,,,,? ? ? ?,,,,There is a way to filet a jack and cut the y-bones out. YouTube vids will show how. Never done it myself. My favorite fish. Never eaten or caught red fins but hear the are the finest.

After you gash em, little salt, pepper, roll em cornmeal, and fry in 350 degree grease. And they mighty good.
