Clearcut doves

Had only an hour to hunt so remy and i set up in a fresh clear cut. Had a pair come right in to the mojos. Only those two came in but its always good to get out no matter how much time you have.

Certainly is. If I had to shoot a limit everytime I went I would have given up hunting many, many moons ago.

Love it. When I was a kid we never fixed dove fields but there was this one spot. The woods made a point that extended out within about 20 yards of the milk barn. some doves liked to fly the wood line and would pass over that point. I enjoyed some good pass shooting there but rarely got more than 3 or 4 birds in the evening. Good fun though.

Ah when the poke salad berries start dropping in clearcuts that have them. It can and more than likely will be you're best shoot of the year. It's worth putting on gloves and stripping handfuls of the dark berries and slinging them all around in other places to grow.
