IMG_6716.jpegIMG_6717.jpegThanks for input.

Planted mid September.

Crimson and white clover. Wheat for cover.

Applied around 1/2 ton of lime to this .3 acres. Maybe can’t remember it we applied 50 or 100 pounds of 10/10/10.

No soil test. Was a last minute operation.

Planted in mid September. Got 1 rain and the. The last hurricane. Maybe 9” of rain total.

Howard - How about a little detail on variety of clover, when planted and ph condition of soil?

Love perennial clover. A true work horse in providing tons of food over the course of a year.

Checked mine yesterday. Hit it with a round of 0-20-20 and lime before the first hurricane and it looks great. I agree, gonna over seed mine with a mix of a couple different clovers before the next rainy forecast. I have never regretted going to clover.

Looking good David. You're gonna like that plot next Fall when you're walking in ankle deep clover. The deer are gonna like it too.

Considering the minimal preparation and the weather the stand looks pretty good. Maybe some of the bare spots were standing water?

Really that all looks good. Plots don't always look like they do on TV.

I would put an exclusion cage up if you can do that inconspicuously. If not put one up at the end of the season.

My new kill plot "BRASSICA-BLEND" is coming along just a little overseeding next big rain to thickn' R up... just plowed up some more new ground on other side of creek for "WINTER-PEAS/OATS"!
