Coosa river fishing

I just acquired access to a fishing cabin below the lock and dam in Rome . I could use any advice on fishing the area. What should be bitting this time of year?

The Coosa is my favorite place to fish. Right now crappie , white and yellow bass are being caught below the lock, along with some small stripers . After you get out of sight of the lock the river is ten to fifteen feet deep so bigger jig heads are needed to get down to the fish in the current.
