Does anyone have one they personally recommend? One that loop records constantly and has a clear video that can be easily reviewed.

I have two cheep Chinese "knock off" dash cams. Both were mail order big discount or "close out" and cost me less than $50 each. Neither is easy to use. The features are there and accessible but the button pushing is intuitive or logical.

Apparently all of the dashcams will need to be wired into a direct to battery circuit in order for some of the features to work. Stuff like motion record when parked won't work if the camera is plugged in to a car outlet than isn't live when the ignition is off.

Both cameras have pretty good front cameras and it is easy to take the micro SD card out of the camera and download to my computer. Don't forget to delete files from the SD before returning it to the camera. The front view camera has "fish eye" views but license plates of cars several feet ahead are easy to read. The interior and rear cameras are not as good, but still clear enough to tell what's going on.

I wouldn't recommend either camera. It's not that they are bad. It's just that the market is flooded with almost identical Chinese electronics and any camera you pick will be just as good as what I have.

No one owns one that they would recommend?
I got this one but have had no incidents to record and save so I haven't reviewed anything on it. But it records constantly but only saves in the event of collision or you tell it to. So I can't personally recommend it but the reviews were good.

I have a pilot in the rear of my truck.

I have one in each of my vehicles. All are Nextbase. First one is G222 others are 322GWs. They all record in the loop you describe. Each video provides lat/long, speed, time and date at bottom. The videos are saved on a micro sd but can also be accessed via bluetooth to cell phone.
Each are set to auto permanent save in case of hard jarring in the event of a wreck or if vehicle is hit when parked. The files are saved to a different folder on the micro sd so the loop feature doesn't write over them.
