Delton,

Call Al D. He can take care of that Ruger. He can also get you the best price on Re-bluing. It will come back looking way better than factory.

Ok, here is the original post I made.....

Has anyone ever de-horned a handgun before? If so, how did you go about doing it?

I just picked up a blued Ruger Single Six and wanting it to feel like a bar of soap when I'm done.

There's not a whole lot of sharp corners, just a few....

Any tips or suggestions?

Anyone have any tips on how I could dehorn the gun myself and then send it off to be reblued?

I'd sort of like this to be a project... eventually getting the action smoothed and lightened.

(I think that was his name) over at Outdoor Adventures can probably tell you how to do that. I have no idea how good he is or what his advice is like. Did see some pictures of his work though, he seems to have a knack with metal on 1911's.

Agarr gave me a contact number for a man in SC that I'm going to try out I think.

Thanks for the info though...
