Did you reload anything today #5

I took my pet load for the Swift and backed off 5 grains on the bullet weight. I am running low on the 55 grain soft points with a cannelure, and figured I'd try the 50 grain soft point and see how it preforms. It should be breaking 4k

Don’t exactly recall how it happened but I’ve got a healthy supply of small rifle magnums (450s).
This is what I use in 223/556 in the AR15. CCI recommends the 450s/41s/BR4 and do not recommend the 400s. Say the 400s are too soft for the floating pin in the AR, although lots of folks use them anyway. After reading that from CCI, I use the 400s in single shots and bolt guns now.

I’ve shot a lot of 400s in AR15s and never a slam fire (actually have never met anyone that’s seen one)… but I mostly use 41s or 450s. Haven’t tested it in 223, but the magnum primers seem to get me another 50 fps and lower ES in larger rifle cartridges.

I have never seen one either, but CCI does state it. I didn't see any appreciable difference between standard and magnum in velocities in the 223s I load for my ARs.

if you were using extruded powder you may not...heavy doses of ball you might...probably why they are use in 5.56 loads...isn't most of that ball?

Loaded the last 50 Precision Delta 230 grn fmj 45’s last night. Ordered 1k Zero 185 grn JHP’s to load in future 45 auto’s. Hope they function well and I can use them for target and carry purposes instead of having to swap mags and rechamber after every range trip.

I managed to get the last of my 4064 out of the powder Trickler and load the last 50 grain soft point bullet laying on the table, box had 101 in it so it was one over. Now this leaves a Delima I have enough 50 grain soft points to hunt for a minute for the 220 Swift, and enough 5.56 60 and 70 grain for my AR's that unless I get into a bunch of pigs, I won't have to load any hunting ammo for a bit. I have a pile of 22-250 brass and probably ought to load some and see what my rifle likes or play with the 243. Then again, I reckon I could load some 44 Mag

Put those 210Ms on the shelf...that brings the stock up to about 7K

Annealed a small batch of .22-250

Then bumped the shoulders back about .002. It appears that his chamber is +.003 so +.001 should be good.

then trimmed them all to the shorter FC cases in his mix and got them in the cob to clean the wax off.

We worked on resupplying my 9mm stash today. We loaded 950 9mm target rounds.

Berry’s 115gr round nose over 5.7gr of BE86.

You have the patience of a Saint what type of groups does that ammo shoot
last time I did some for a SS version of the same rifle I think it was 38.5gr of H380 gave him a .25 hole @ 200 yards and Sierra #1310s 45gr SP. I'm going to try 52gr first since I am out of those...thought that I had picked up another box but I guess not.

I started on a single stage RCBS press. I still have it and still use it for rifle rounds and if I am only making a few of something. I could not do 950 in one day. Enjoy them, you earned it.

I loaded 100 10MM. Montana Bullet Works 200gr WFN-GC.
If I can go between rain storms I will try them this week at the range.
I used Longshot powder and federal Primers.

I have killed 7 or 8 pigs with 10mm pistols and Hornady 180gr XTP reloads. I have been completely happy with the XTP's.
I handgun hunt like I do with my longbow, I get close and take the right shot.
On pigs it has always been a head shot and I limit myself to 40 yards, I have not missed so far, knock on wood.
I just figured a big wide flat lead bullet would punch through more if I ever took a body shot and also I want to try to kill a deer with the 10mm and it may be good for that too.
