Made me a laminated bow before the season, but it needed some fine tuning... I re-worked the tiller and the riser and she's about ready for a finish/coat of camo or something like that. She ain't pretty, but I think she'll kill.

Asked the lil' man to video a shot - this was a cold shot at 16 yards, dead on.
She's pulling about 51# at my draw length (29.5-30") which I think will be fine for small deer and maybe a small bear. Just a shy under 60" so will probably cut the mustard for a ground blind, it'll be tight, but I did it with a factory built 60 this season and so long as I sit in just the right spot... haha!

That's a ±640 grain arrow. Obviously needs some string silencers, etc.
It was a fun project, won't be my last. Gives me something to pass the time when I am not changing diapers, fishing, and/or off-season scouting.

Nicely done
50# will do elk and moose at 30 yes with a well tuned arrow and a sharp broad head... I’ve shot 20 or so with a well tuned 42# and only had one me not blow through the other side....

Looks great. 51# is more than enough. Bow building is a great hobby. Hope you get some critters with it this season.
