Duck hunting on West point lake?

Do they allow Waterfowl hunting on West Point? I drive by there on my way to deer camp and see a lot of back water areas like Fish Creek and other that have no homes on them. Just wondering if you can hunt from a boat blind back there.

Yep....but if you can see it from the road, best bet those areas have been hammered by hunters over many years. Not saying you won't find any ducks but generally those that have success on WP do ALOT of scouting (by boat) before hunting. I can think of multiple visual areas from road spots that hunters also walk via Corp Property, in other words access without a boat...which obviously compounds the pressure. Good luck.

Take fishing rods instead of guns, then you'll be covered up with ducks and geese.

Oh well, it was just a thought. I see these good looking areas while going to deer camp and wondered if they were huntable.
I guess everybody else is thinking the same thing. Just like WMA deer hunts, find a good spot and then on opening day everybody and their brother is already there
