Eating More Bass

Hopefully to grow some bigger bass! Our little lake has too many little bass in it, so in an effort grow some bigger ones am planning on making them a regular menu item……. These LM are more or less as good as spots to me coming from this cool clear water. Water is still cold but managed some on a crank bait a couple days ago. That night had fried bass with Cajun grits and crawfish sauce. Last night more fried bass, hush puppies and cheese grits.

A 12-15 inch largemouth makes wonderful table fare. The best thing for small ponds is taking as many small bass out every year. Does wonders for the bass that are left in the pond. We use them in all different preparations. Lots of fun to catch and good to eat.

I'm pretty sure that crawfish sauce would make any fish a tasty meal!
