Electric tongue jack

Looking to put an electric tongue jack on my 30' travel trailer. Been reading the reviews and it seems a lot of them quit working after about a year. Would love to hear what brand you have and how they are holding up.

Don't remember what brand I put on but make sure it is rated to lift more than enough. Make sure to get a good water proof cover to go over the motor. Mine quit in less than a year. Tore it down and it had taken on a lot of water over the winter. The brushes and armature were a mess. Took it apart and cleaned it, put it back together with fresh grease on the gears, installed the cover and have had zero issues for the past 4 years.

We ordered one off eBay, came with cover and all , 99.00, 2 yrs old still working fine. Might quit tomorrow but if it did I'd order another one just like it:D

This one has been in the weather for about 4 years or so. It runs a little slower these days but that's ok.20180921_103731.jpg

I keep a big freezer storage bag over ours to keep it dry while parked.
