Hello,

I planning a mid October bass fishing trip, mainly around Florence Marina.

Any tips on baits and methods for mid-October out there?

Troll crappie jigs!

I can't help you with the ditch pickles... other than I catch a heap of them at Eufaula crappie fishing. I would definitely fish Grass Creek (around the bend down river from Florance)...ditch pickles are always stacked in there.

I will try there. I have been in that area once, but in July. No Ditch Pickles in July.

Yes, sir. Fished all over down there as a boy. Go south down to Ga side inlet where Grass and Turner Creek meet. Used to nail them there easily on Manns jelly worms and Hellbenders. (Shows you how dated I am) But I believe if you try similar items they will still work. On down is Rood Creek, which I liked even better. Good luck.

Brush- 10in red bug zoom ol monster, deep diving crankbait, c rig brush hog (green pumpkin), magnum trick worm on shaky head (redbug)

Grass- white swim jig with 3.8 keitch (it's no secret down there), war eagle white and chart spinner bait WITH ORANGE BLADE, jackall popping frog, buzzbait, weightless senko around outside edges. Any questions PM me.
