Just a heads up. The fall event will be the weekend of Sept. 27-28
Location, directions, facilities info available at Trackrock.com
Info on event contact me here via PM.
Lot of the smiths stay active into the evening, 6 or so.
I've usually had a very full day and shut down around 5, after being on my feet for two days straight.
If you make it by 12:00 there will be catered BBQ available, but it goes fast. After that we have the donation drawing for a custom knife or two, followed by the Iron n the Hat drawing. That usually goes to around 2. After that the forges crank back up.
More just straight up forging goes on all day Friday and Saturday morning.
Since I've gotten several request for more detailed info on event:

Well, didn't see this until just now. Was loading my gear and left to go up early thursday am.
Only thing the weather did was prevent a few of our regular participants from getting there, especially the ones coming from NC and ETN. But, two from there came anyway. We had at least 8 forges set up and working both days, only idle during lunch. Spectators/visitors attendance was down of course, but the regulars know it is a "weather protected" event (under substantial cover) and came anyway. Pretty good crowd on Saturday, not overwhelming but steady. All in all a very comfortable and relaxed event. Next one will be in early March next year.
I had to take care of some issues around home, so I had to miss out again, I'm going to try to plan for one of the next ones coming up, ya'll still having one in the Spring?
