Fave "moon phase"

Wondered what was the board members favorite phase of the moom to hunt? I know any day you can hunt is a good day, but does anyone plan their vacation to take advantage of a particular moon phase. I have the last couple of years...my fave is the 'new moon' followed by a "full moon". How about ya'll ?

When rut come same time as full moon, full rut only week away and moon in third quarter. First third-quarter moon after Hunter’s Moon is best.

I usually prefer to hunt during the new moon but during the rut I've observed a lot of buck activity (including some real mossy horns)) on the day before the moon is full.I'll stay in the woods as many hours as possible on this day!

My Dad was an advocate of three days before the full moon as being best and three days after the full moon.When it was legal to shine deer at night without a gun,I found that deer didn't move on a full moon night.They moved best on a dark night!
