It’s a shame they only open it for 3 days, there are plenty of red snapper out there.

Not only are there plenty (see my last post) what if we have 8 ft. seas that weekend. Nobody will get a chance at them and I doubt they would give us another weekend.

At the risk of sounding overly pessimistic I think that’s what they hope for.

How far offshore do you have to go to encounter red snapper?

Because the commercial guys need to be able to get 15,000 pounds per day.

Certainly not inside of three miles. Closest I have caught keepers is 20 miles and that is very rare. About 35 miles should do it off Savannah.
