Finished up, another one!

I started this by mailing my frame to Gary Reeder, I was goin to get him to build me the .500 smith and wesson after a few months I checked for an update and with Thompson having closed the doors he wasn’t able to get the parts. So I had him do, a trigger Job and a action job and it’s slick as butter.

Bidding war on Gunbroker, I locked in a .500 s&w custom shop 15in.

Found a old set of PacMaer grips, got a VX freedom 1moa and a set of Warne rings.

She breathes fire, I did a bunch of book minimum loads knowing the MePlat we flatten deer/hogs.

Been several months in the procuring the pieces but I’ve got it built.

I had it hitting 100yd milk jugs yesterday. The air that muzzle break displaces is absolutely insane. You can see dirt kicking up 20yds away. My buddy was spotting me, he got from beside me to behind me in 2 shots. They didn’t want anything todo with it.

Those barrels can get expensive quickly. I need to get a 30-30 barrel for my Contender one day.

They used to be pretty reasonable, they have gotten crazy high lately as T/C has shut down and no body knows if barrels will be available.
My advice is to bite the bullet and buy what you want now as they will never be less expensive!

Just looked on Gunbroker and saw a few pistol barrels with scopes for $899. That’s just crazy. Maybe I need to list my 223 barrel so I can put one on layaway.

I ordered a barrel from Gary Reeder very reasonably priced. Months went by and no word, I found one on Gunbroker and grabbed it since the .500 isn’t super common in encore pistols. Well Reeders barrel came, so now I have two.

The 14in reeder barrel ported kicks more then the TC factory 15in barrel no clue why.
