Man, you went all out on your first one. Looks like it will be lots of fun to practice and hunt with, but not sure how you are going to get that little belt on. Hope you have success with it!!!!!!

I killed a nice buck with a .357 S &W (no scope) in 2000. It was one of the most memorable hunts I ever had. I went to a 44 Mag after that and found out I was no Dirty Harry. Went back to rifles. The scope on the 44, due to recoil, went out of zero after every shot. But If I was a young I'd try it again. Better scopes today, better ammo. Good Luck!

.357. The 44 has more killing power, but the .357 has less recoil and is, therefore, more accurate. I shot them both quite a bit 20 years ago. Good article in 2016 Deer Hunter's Almanac by a serious deer hand gunner who only uses the .357. If you read the article you'll be sold on the .357. Keep you maximum range at 50 yards, though.
