First chick quota hunt and my first post to the forum. Long time lurker. Anyone having any luck? Weather seems to have deer turned off and bugs on.

...just joking, seriously.
Not just the Chick.
Without a significant front or significant rain since the passage of helene, georgia has been in pre-frontal conditions for a month or more.
Which means east wind humid and buggy.
Deer haven't been moving good at my place two or three hours north during this period of time either...

I also had a pic of a deer feeding after 12 today. Went got gas anothe deer feeding on acorns side the road. Slowed down it went back to eating. Drove right by it while my tracking dog never seen it. Lols. I got more work to do with her.

Find acorns and stay with it.

Folks around our place in Emanuel say it's been slow.

Down here in NW Florida have not seen much, even out in the ag fields. They don't have to go far to get a belly full with all the acorns.

Maybe with this rain it will turn things around.

I would get in the buggiest bottoms and hunt. There will be acorns and deer or hogs. I love Chic sorry I didn't get drawn again this year.

They were moving pretty good out there last Sunday but it was one of those lower humidity days. Saw several while riding thru and jumped a good one scouting just after daylight. Since front came in tho all my private areas have shut down. Some friends in this area have been getting pics midday yesterday. Good luck
