First buck I’ve had to post in a couple years. Ain’t no giant but it was a cool one for me and the first deer I’ve killed with much history. I got a single picture of this deer on camera in 2020 and didn’t think much of it, just a young 8 pointer roaming through.
Again in ‘21 I got a couple pictures of him throughout season, wouldn’t even thought much of it if it wasn’t for his recognizable G2s.
In ‘22 I started getting a little more interested in this mystery buck and was hoping to see him in person but he stayed pretty illusive.
Last year rolled around and he became fairly regular and even showed up on camera in daylight a couple times but I never saw him in person.
Starting out this year I was thinking he had probably been killed or disappeared until a neighbor mention a buck with long G2s. Wasn’t a week and he was showing up again
He was showing up pretty regular on scrapes at night through November. I had him on November 21 looking healthy as normal and then December the 3rd I had a couple pictures that looked like he had been shot in the chest.
Yesterday morning about 9:30 I was freezing and contemplating calling it a day and looked up the mountain and there he was right behind a doe.
