I’ve caught a bunch of otter, but never in a coyote set. Let me just say, VERY interesting behavior in the trap. If a coon or bobcat is the standard for meanness, add 200% for the otter! If this ever happens again, may it be in season, because that bully cone shaped neck doesn’t catch pole real well and his Tasmanian devil growl and jaw pop seemed legit to me.

I've caught them in coyote sets and once in a drowner that didn't drown. Thankfully it has always been in season and I could dispatch them. People think these animals are cuddly and adorable, but they are anything but when you get one in a foothold.

Freind of mine caught one in a snare. He said he wishes that was on video it was questionable for a while who was going to walk away and who wasn’t ?

Seen a pack run a full size gator off a sandbar on the Wekiva once and there is a picture floating around on the internet of one eating a small gator whole in the Black Hammock.
