We got this Black and Tan as a pup almost a year and a half ago pretty much just to be a pet. I had gotten out of coon hunting and was considering trying him for squirrel. He never really showed much interest and I quit working with him. When he turned about 15 months old he started to really love a squirrel so we worked him a little and put him in the woods Saturday for the first time. Really surprised me. He got out and hunted and could definitely tell the difference between hot and cold tracks. Just gotta get him to start barking on the tree
