Fish on the brain...

My nine year old has reignited his passion for fishing with a vengeance this summer. We’ve taken the canoe on the ‘hood pond pretty much non stop and yesterday took off for a backcountry blue line to catch some wild trout

“Gotta fish big baits to catch big fish dad!”

Smallest trout of the day. We thought it was a creek chub


And a few pictures he took of critters we came across

Lots of these banded water snakes about. Big and small.


These blue dragonflies were everywhere too. The trout must love when they hit the water.
