Fishing off Sea Island this morning.... They're still here!

Had a trip this morning and wanted to put the new PENN Battle Series reels through some drag pulling. I took a swing at bull redfish early AM off St. Simons Island for a couple of hours on the flood with no luck... Went to a spot where 12 were caught yesterday by a friend of mine, but the fish had moved already.

Saw a PILE of Tarpon, but no hook up and the bait was big and it was thick. We watched bait flood past the boat for over 45 minutes solid with Tarpon all over it.

Didn't make the run to St. Andrews where I have been catching fish due to time frame.

So, we switched gears, although slighty under-tackled and found a lone shrimp boat.... Game on! These guys were GREAT to fish with.. Check this out... Great trip.

Really enjoyed your video. It sure looks like you gave those Penn "battle" reels a great test. When those sharks would make their runs the drag handled it like a champ! Thanks for your reviews.

That was mighty nice of that one guy to cut right across your slick. Nice late season sharks though!

Yeah... I left that in there to see if anyone would pick up on that. He was close enough you could hear the engine CLEARLY in the video. Nice Huh?

Hey Richie, this is Lee. We fished with you on Friday morning. My grandson, Jackson, caught a couple sharks. Just wanted to say we had a great time and I wish Jax's(what we call him) had hooked up on that last shark. Anyway , thinking about the Oct bull red trip. Will talk to some of my buds this week. Don't forget to check out hdlgirls.com that I mentioned to you. Look for them on Direct TV too as they now have a show. By the way, I am Gunpowder on this forum.

Hey Lee! Yeah, I enjoyed fishing with you guys.... The Little man had him a good 2-hours. Maybe we can get Jax on a longer trip next time if ya'll have time and let him pull on some big fish.... But still, that was fun watchin that boy catch fish. He's got the bug, for sure!

I am about to post some redfishing for smaller reds we went after today... But, just let me know and we'll get you guys lined up.

Thanks for the reply and we'll talk soon.... Enjoyed it!

thanx for the penn info. really like my shimano stradics and saros but might have to add a few battles to the team. i use to surf fish a lot off penn ss and z series in the surf back in the day, and they were good, sturdy reels.
