Fly Tying Benches

Just got a new to me roll top desk and turned it into a fly tying bench. I like it fairly well. Let`s see some of ya`ll`s work areas.

That looks perfect, Nic! I've just got an old metal desk that I rescued from unsold state surplus that was headed to the scrapyard. I'll take a pic if I can remember to. It's a lot messier than yours.

It’s pretty messy for now, but this is mine. Dad had a big thick slab of walnut he held onto for a long time planing it for some gun stocks, but after years of keeping he used in the the tying bench

The pipe hawk adds a nice touch.

I have 2, one about 7 ft long, the other 4ft. I have a system that works for me and helps me tie faster when I have big orders. That rooms resembles Hiroshima right now as it’s getting redone, but in a few weeks it’s going to be perfect.

That’s where all the liquor is too so you’ll have to come over and we’ll tie a few.
