Foam cut for gun case

Have a new Plano case and would like to get the foam cut to fit my rifle.

Do you want to do it or are you looking for someone? I always did my own.

yeah , it isn't hard to do, lay the rifle in the case, use a fine tip marker to lay out the pattern around it,, then use a single edge razor blade to cut the foam,

be forewarned, if you have a scope on the rifle and cut the pattern for it,, and then later change scopes ? you might end up with a mismatch depending on what scope you change to,,, or decide to remove the scope altogether ,,, ask me how I know ? lol

Thanks for all the info. I have located someone that will do the work but may try it myself. Worst thing I may get to re-do if I mess up. Will post pictures either way.

I use those diposable retractable razor knives and trace it out with a Sharpie like in the video.

I normally remove my bolt from the gun when I put it in a case...making a cut for the bolt can be tricky...sometimes hole saw work well for those types of cuts if it doesn't go all the way through the layer of foam.

Did get the foam cut this morning while I waited. Made quick work of the job and turned out great.
