Putting water on smartweed first week of June in order to stock crawfish seems to have been really beneficial to this years smartweed crop. Also, flooding knocked out a bunch of undesirable stuff. Learning about this stuff is as much fun as the hunting. Great season for moist soil food shaping up. Got a bunch of.black bellies on the club right now...handful of teal and wood ducks.
