Makes one wonder how much brighter and more vibrant that arrowhead was when it was made. I wonder too, whether the owner kept it as a piece of art or used it hunting.

It has a little patina on it but it`s not faded much. It`s the "chocolate swirl" variety of Coastal Plains chert. There`s an ancient quarry of it a few miles from my home.

That`s a nice point.
