They can say anything they want to about lard, but a biscuit without it, is just another piece of bread. My Granny fried everything with lard. The best fried chicken I ever ate, the best biscuits I ever ate, and the best gravy I ever ate. Lord that woman could cook. she died in the 80's at the age of 104. And she dipped snuff too.
