Friday Night Eats

Seared a backstrap in the cast iron skillet, mushrooms, dirty rice and roasted carrots. This was as good of a meal as I had in quiet awhile. Whatcha y’all noshing on this evening.

At the farm processing South Carolina grown crawfish…squirreled back a couple of pounds of tails full of fat and a bottle of Eagle Rare that a friend was kind enough to leave with me…not sure where this will end up but I bet it’s gonna be good…

Looks good but are you not able to sell all them. I would think that would be the main goal.Sell the good ones and eat the culls.

Venison burger topped with homemade pimento cheese, onion, cowboy candy and some volunteer lettuce from the garden. Wife made homemade buns.

Last supper from Campsite 25-Pack up in the morning and head to Daytona for a few days to help a friend with some home projects before heading home….Went super simple and boiled some hot dogs.
Did cook the last few pieces of brisket we had to snack on as well!

Wife started her spring break today, did surf and turf. Got her a chunk of filet and me a ribeye from striplings. Went to Kroger and got some lobster tails, asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Bacon wrapped the asparagus and grilled it with the steaks over a pecan fire. Steamed the lobster tails on the stove and made crispy Parmesan potatoes in the oven. For dessert I made home made fried blueberry pies with blue bell vanilla.

We rode around trying to decide what we wanted for supper this evening, stopped at a local Italian restaurant, I had cavatine, the Mrs had lasagna, now back at the homestead, listening to bluegrass by the fire, enjoying a cold brewski. Evening everybody.

Freezer / pantry night. Looks like old bay fries for me, split with the boy. And box Mac and cheese for the mrs. meh …

@Boondocks They are all sold….before they get in the trap. I reserve the right to catch all I want though…and the tails are the culls…the best ones go in sacks, the smaller or not select ones are pealed and sold as tails for meals like this.
