Those copper scrub pads from the dollar stores work best, unravel them and you can get several little nets of copper to wrap plant stalks.

Ours is coming on good. These pictures were taken on Sunday. I feel like the corn is about double that size now. It’s around hiney high. We’ve picked a couple small harvests of beans and the watermelons, butternut squash, and pumpkins have really started running. Butternuts and pumpkins have a few fruit on them as of today.

What does it mean when the bottom most part of the tomato leaves are yellow? I have drip irrigation and normally water them every 3 or so days with as mild as the temps have been.F93AAA8C-912A-477E-83E2-98B9151CBB26.jpeg

Today’s walk through the garden. Lettuce and cover crop, corn, green beans, watermelon and pumpkin jungle, the volunteer zinnias, and the vase full of flowers I picked for the wife yesterday. Need to pick the green beans this week sometime and will go ahead and apply some more nitrogen to the corn. Got a small rain shower yesterday so will cultivate between rows today or tomorrow

First pick of the year. A nice mess of zucchini. View attachment 1081678
I love roasted zucchini and would like to put some in my little plot. I've had poor luck with the vines.
Would you happen to know where in Georgia I can buy just a couple of those Zucchini Bush Plants??
TY

prune all your maters up to the first 10 inches of plant then hit them with some water soluble fertilizer with nitrogen. could be overwatering also, dig down 4 to 6 inches and see if soil is retaining moisture, if so, back off watering to 1 inch per week or 2 times a week during the hottest weather.

Doing things a little different this year with maters, drip tape and cardboard to keep weeds out and moisture in. Pic taken last month and to date this has surely cut down watering to once weekly. When you lift the cardboard you can see the tomato roots crawling under the cool moist cardboard. When season is over I will till the cardboard into the soil as an amendment.

That looks great! I like it!

I bought one of these today by accident. Someone put it on the wrong shelf, i thought it was a better boy until I went to plant it and looked at the tag. I'm not familiar with these Bush Goliaths. What can I expect?
We must shop at the same store the exact same thing happened to me right down to the varieties of tomato! And I know better because it's happened to me before. I've grown Bush Goliath before but I can't remember much about 'em I guess we'll see.
