half my little corn patch was blown over this am and the rest just now after this last storm.

googling says it may break at the roots trying to pick it up and to leave it, it'll pop back up in a day or so. I picked one up and didn't seem broke?

anyone ever run into this? trying to figure should I leave them or try to prop them back up?

Some of mine that fell tried to stand back up and some didn’t. I hilled mine but must not been enough.

Pulled my carrots and green onions and cut the remaining kale & spinach on Sunday. Got the "giant" pumpkins transplanted into containers and just keep watching the cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers - these all got alot of blooms and starting to set fruit so should be interesting when I return from vacation in a week.

Okra, maters, squash and zucchini from this morning. Tossed some in olive oil and sprinkled with Everglades seasoning and roasted in the oven turn out pretty good paired with a baked fish fillet View attachment 1022903View attachment 1022904
That looks great. I planted my okra 3 times before I got about a dozen plants growing. They’re still only about 16” tall. I’m east of Atlanta. Been picking squash, cukes, jalapeños and beans. My tomatoe plants look like fireman’s

I’ve been blessed with my okra production. I’m getting about a 5 gallon bucket every other day

Great looking gardens!!

As with most, getting squash, cucumbers, zucinni, cherry maters, peppers. Waiting for the big maters. The deer flat out leveled my okra and peas in 1 night:banginghe

Any suggestions on keeping them off my peas and okra?

They do love the okra.

Put a weather radio in a zip lock bag and turn it on at night.

Squash and Zucs are coming in pretty good. Cucs are just now starting to get fruit on them. The corn is doing well and so is the okra. Beans are coming in fast and should be ready to pick by the weekend.

Picked enough jalapenos to try my hand at some cowboy candy and picked enough banana peppers to pickled 3 pint jars. Going to wait until the 4th until we open a jar of each and give them a try.

Update rookie mistake 1st time raised beds . Squash and cucumbers have choked out beans and okra took over whole right side . Planted tomatoes to close on left
You're trying hard, that's what counts. No one does things perfectly the first time. If you like it enough you'll become expert.

This south ga heat has pretty much stopped my squash and cukes, down to maters and peppers now.

Still getting lots of okra and a few maters and peppers. Everything else is about done. Got plenty out up and have been eating fresh garden veggies for the last month and a half. I’m very pleased with our little garden and how it produced for us this year.

Been in this position before myself it is always difficult to keep from planting too much...prune out some and let it go - nature has a way of producing even in the worst of circumstances
