Hit oconee yesterday, armor bridge ramp. Put the boat in with a lot of fog. Decided to wait it out and fish the ramp area. Lifted my trolling motor and heard a snap.
My tm cable sleeve cracked and broke! This ever happen to anyone? How did u repair it? Im looking at a neoprene sleeve wrap, any opinions?
Did put a dozen or so bass and 1 big cat in the rig. Most caught on a 1/8 oc chatterbait, even the catfish. 12#er

Yup, I've had it happen and have repaired it. It's not a overly difficult repair and I might be able to offer some help in the form of finding info for you online. What type of trolling motor is it?

Well actually for clarity - for me it was the cable itself that snapped. I assume this is what you are meaning. Regardless I'll offer you any input or details about my experience in order to try to help. When it happened to me my first thought was that it was a big deal but after having fixed it I realized that it is rather minor and can be fixed at hte ramp if the parts are on hand (at least for my TM)

Its a mk maxxum, the cable sleeve itself cracked in multiple places. I tried to buy a cordura type velcro sleeve for it , but the website was hinky. I ended up with a neoprene sleeve that velcros. Cut the old sleeve off but for a few inches at each end. Wrrapped the new sleeve on and cable tied in a few places. It is much more flexible now, we shall see how long it holds up. 20$

Sounds like you got it taken care off. I actually realize now that I was talking about something differnet anyways. The actual cable (one of the two) in my foot controlled TM busted a couple years ago and required repair. Turned out to be a rather easy fix - hence my input. I've since moved onto an Ulterra but wanted to share any help. Glad you got it taken care of. Good fish too :) Wife & I will be fishing out of that ramp on Sunday - hope to have success with the bass <"}}}}><
