Grand Canyon Bison Hunt nets 4 animals

I’m sure those Indians appreciated the white man doing all the dirty work for them. (Sarcasm)

Personally I’d rather allow the indigenous people hunt them instead of some fat, rich guy who can’t shoot or walk up and down hills.

Park Service and the USFS never has managed anything right.

The way that hunt was set up and with the rules, I'm surprised that many were killed. Total waste of time and money.

Bison aren't native to that area

The main tool in reducing the population at the Grand Canyon has been to corral them near the North Rim entrance and ship them to Native American tribes through the Intertribal Buffalo Council. The park has relocated 124 over the past three years — enough to start seeing the reproductive rate slow, Holm said. The goal population is around 200.
