This will be a little long but here goes.

I farmed on the family farm from as soon as I could until college but decided on a different path. Always been an outdoorsman loving hunting and fishing. Now at 40 I have an extremely successful business and starting nearly 2 years ago have ramped up reinvesting in the family farm trying to make it the best it can be for deer and turkeys.I started with hiring a forestry mulcher to clean back the edge of a main field so I could lime/fertilize and establish clover which has been extremely successful. In my other thread I posted pics of 40 trees I planted this year to go long with 50 I planted last year. I have been able to purchase 50 acres to go along with the family farm as well. I have 2 daughters that as of right now love hunting with me as much as I do them. Hopefully I started the trees early enough to really see fruits of my labor. It is now my passion as I am transitioning in life. The deer are wearing out the clover. I can’t wait til some of the trees start producing. Now if it will only dry out enough to do some burning.

You better kills some of those deer before they eat up all of your hard work.
Give a holar if you need help.
I’m sure many on here would be most helpful.

You planted clover the same as I have in our larger plots - clover around the perimeter to maintain year round and the middle for grains, brassicas and beans. Love it!

Looks awesome! And you should be finding some shed antlers in all that clover real soon.
