he was kinda cute as a pup

then he grew up, got butt ugly and kinda lazy. Well, until the grand young'un showed up. If you mess with that kid you'll get yer butt eat up! We were told when the stepson got him as a pup he was a blue leopard Catahoula and that the momma was killing the pups over food(!?!) and that's why the owners gave him away. Can't find out any more info than that. But as he got older he appears to have been mixed with pitbull or some such. We acquired him (and the kid) after the grand young'un's parents became crackheads and he's turned into the best dog I've ever had! Wish I had 6 or 8 more just like him! Smart as can be and a bit stubborn but I wouldn't take a million bucks for him!

Good looking dog and good on you for what you are doing. I bet he does watch over that kid like the world's best babysitter!

What a cool looking dog.

Pit bulls have a mostly undeserved reputation.

Mine is really my wife's dog. Don't go messing with her and you'll be fine around him.

Speaking of ugly, this is the result of your neighbor's Blue Heeler visiting your German Shepherd. Oof!

4hand, that's a pretty dog.

Had one that looked just like that.

Her name was Millie, she ran off some dirt bag that followed my wife home from the Mall years ago. I loved that mutt.

Eta-pic of son with Millie
and Angel (as a wee pup)...long time ago.

It don't matter if a Dog is ugly or not. The one we lost back in February was as butt ugly as they come, even the vet could only take an educated guess at what breeds she was mixed up with. We had her for 10 years one of the best Dogs we ever had. It broke our hearts when she suddenly lost the use of her back legs and had to be put down.

If you have a good guard Dog especially one that will protect the children like the one in the top picture that is great. It matters to no Dog in this world what his master looks like, they can't see ugly only humans can.
