Has anyone made any plans to hunt Horse Creek in October?

What’s the terrain like there? Do you need hip boots?

It all depends on the river stage. Some years it’s been bone dry and other times you could use a boat.

I hear you, thanks for the intel. I used to hunt around Vienna and Pitts years ago, but was not near the river.

One of my favorite parts of hunting season. I"ll be there that Monday.

So guys will be camping starting that Monday 10/19 and hunting through the next Sunday? Or do y'all just go during the week? I would like to join some fellow traditional bowmen.

The archery dates are October 5th-27th. I plan on hunting the 19th-23rd. I have to work that weekend, but I’m sure there will be guys hunting till Sunday.
