How we read helps how we see

Yep. Theres that "His yoke is easy, His burden is light" thing to consider!
This is bound to inflame the religious folks. Some might get the dependence though and enjoy a real righteous redirect ...

Here is one of the more helpful things I've learned about how to read scripture.

When we read looking for direction about behavior, or treat Scripture as an instruction manual or an encyclopedia of conduct, we will find frustrating contradictions and an overwhelming lack of clarity.

Instead, I've learned to look for prophesy and shadows of Jesus,
promises to the righteous,
insight into who Father has made us and what that looks like in our everyday life.

Reading to find behavior instructions leads to bondage.

Reading to find Jesus, what He has done, and how that affects us, leads to freedom.

That's the way of grace. It tears down strongholds and breaks chains.

Grace and peace to you.

FB fellow saint offers good clarity here ...

When we stop trying to justify ourselves through performance and we stop trying so hard to change ourselves, we will begin to allow the Holy Spirit to speak truth into our hearts about our true identity. We will begin to allow the Holy Spirit to reveal God's true love for us.

I think that the religious church system has us so busy trying to change our behavior and manage our sin that we miss the whole point of grace and we miss the work of the spirit of Christ in us. You see for grace to be able to teach us to not choose the desires of the flesh and walk upright and Godly first we need to truly understand what grace has actually done for us and to us. The blood of Christ is what has justified us completely. The blood of Christ has brought us full forgiveness. The blood of Christ has reconciled us to God. Now by His resurrection and our marriage union, we are in Christ and He is in us. This is a marriage union that can never be broken. We now live for as long as He not only lives, but He lives in us forever.

It is these truths that will put us in a place of peace, rest and confidence. It is from this place of grace that we will reap the teaching of the Holy Spirit. It is from this place of grace that we will have nothing more to do but be loved and love others.

“Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:9-10‬ ‭
