Please read everything contained in this post and if it seems like it is what you are seriously looking for please pm me with any further questions that this posting does not answer for you.

Hunting club in Sumter County ( Plains ) Ga to be exact is looking for 1 member to round things out at (8) members total on (550 acres). Dues are (1100) which would be needed paid in full ASAP.

The property is (privately owned family land) not a timber company lease. Which is very nice in the regards of what you can typically expect dealing with timber company leases.

The property in itself consists of 3 separate tracts of land within a 10 mile radius of each other made up of a healthy diversity of timberland and agricultural land surrounded by miles and miles of the same consistent mixture of timber and farm land. Which means an abundance of food source rich environment for local wildlife populations.

The property itself leases out the ag planting rights to an independent farming operation in which they rotate each year from what I know between : cotton, corn, soybeans and peanuts on 2 of the tracts that they plant on. The 3rd tract is mainly timberland with a small scale swamp on it.

Tract 1 : is around 150 acres of mainly Ag land with some standing that makes up the back section at the property line.

Tract 2 : is 350 acres of a mixture of ag land and timberland.

Tract 3 : is 50 acres of timberland and swamp.

There are deer, few turkey, and an abundance of hogs on the properties which your membership covers year round use of the property and hunting of anything in season. ( side note regarding hunting hogs with dogs is not allowed for anyone curious regarding that aspect).

There is a camping area for hunters to use with electricity but no water. It is asked for anyone that intends to use electricity helps to chip in for the bill for the time it is used. There is space enough to put a camper or 2 in the area itself as I live around 3 1/2 hours away from the property that is what I will be doing is pulling my camper down for deer season. There is an old farmhouse on site that could be fixed up and made usable which is something I intend to look into as a project to work on for the long term but nothing that will happen overnight.

As far as rules go basically we are trying to establish a quality minded hunting club with a family friendly environment. The idea being managing for mature bucks and responsible minded harvest. The club is fairly new in itself and I am a new member that just joined this year but from talking with the property owner and seeing the property I am very confident in what can be accomplished on this club if we work together to establish a quality environment and are responsible from season to season. Again we dont intend to be a seriously rule minded political type of club we want to enjoy a laid back and relaxed atmosphere but bearing in mind utilizing good ethics and common sense, no private areas for hunting first come first served pin in pin out on the club maps.

(Ideally we are looking for someone who is seriously management minded and also either has equipment to use or access to equipment but however it's not a deal breaker if you dont have equipment it's just something that we are throwing out there in regards to a new member possibility). The membership covers spouse and kids in school.

I know where this property is and have talked to humble about it a good bit. There in prime deer habitat and should kill some good deer. If I wasn't remodeling our house I'd be all over this.
