Is it ok to light some charcoal for just one deer steak?

...That was me at 9pm last night, after a beer or 2....someone texted me "how do you do a deer steak?" That got me thinking...
so.....pulled a deer steak out of the freezer and did a quick thaw in the microwave, cut a few small slits on each side for the marinade to soak in, scratched around and found what I needed for a quick 45 minute Paymaster's Rub (so frig'n good!), lit up a small pile of charcoal in a small portable camping grill, baked a couple small taters...
...Nothing else needed!
