Inside a squirrel den in a hollow tree

Found this white oak down on our place and was able to investigate what a hollow tree den looks like.

Neat. I have an old elm in front of the house with a hole like that. The skwerrls love to sit in it and scurry into the hole if there is danger near. I don't think they den in mine though.

White Oak makes Pretty,durable lumber. Maybe you could find a use,or give it to a Woodworker?
