Jaw bone age experts ?

It was a friend’s son’s first buck and I was doing a euro mount for him and was in awe at how big his head was . And I always look at their jaw bones to try and learn something . This is the buck and a happy young hunter . I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me sharing .

It’s a misconception with a lot of people imo that every deer will become a giant if he reaches maturity and that is clearly not true

A lot depends on the diet for jaw bone aging, sandy soil, hard mast, etc, for wear is what I was told, but great deer regardless, mature for sure

No clue on aging but congratulations to the young man. Fantastic buck.
