Little slow here, just me and the tree I think….gonna sit till 11, maybe a mid morning scrape maker comes thru.

I have not been able to keep up.

Hope all are well and some beasts in the cooler.

Hope all are safe.

Our farm is S L O W.

I am down in big CREP ground between pasture and river.

Ron is west of me about 350 yards. He is at intersection of pasture, 2 thickets and CREP.

He saw 3 bucks in that corner from a different stand yesterday.

Honda running fine now.

Supposed to be big rain tomorrow pm. Hunt til 1-2 pm and then interact with landowners.

Delivered hams, good SC shrimp and lobsters this trip. 10 lbs shelled pecans also.

Just had our number one on the list within 80 yards. Jack… cause he is all jacked up. Extra main beam several forks small drop. Big ole dark horned monster! He had a doe pinned down. Didn’t see her but three more smaller bucks hanging around. He would not come off her. I tried everything. He was in a low spot and couldn’t see the decoy. Think the other bucks have pushed them on. Man that was close!

Big what looks like an 8 is across from me 75 yards inside tree line rubbing a tree. Can’t tell how big yet.

Cows in creek behind me so he hasn’t agreed to move my way yet

Lot of movement yesterday in the woods.

Seen 8 or 10 on the hour drive to the hole.

Seen some road kill yesterday on the way hunting and 2 this morning in town out doung errands.

Unfortunately, an uptick in road kill is a good indicator the rut is going good. I think the recent rain kicked it in here but it on now. Probably will peak in ten days or so.

I got a short video of buck but can’t get it to load yet. Cows are out of the creek now. They are breaking the rules coming over here. Sneaky devils.

And the bottom fell out. I saw one more little buck chasing and then I took off on a dead run to the truck. Gonna rain all day. Maybe a good afternoon for a little blackjack.

Thanks , but I’ve been using one for about 8 years. Been through every one they have. Changed to a stronger one every 1-2 years.
Still shoot all the time. Good up to 20 yards, beyond that I don’t trust it.
