How far to Missouri? Maybe haul backside and smoke another beast tomorrow
Thanks folks. Y’all know I love watching and following all of you, but yeah it’s good to sling lead or steel now and again too.

John came down to help get him in the mule. Funky looking fella. And heavy, I’m too old to pull into the machine anymore. Should have used my pulley but noooooo we had to do it the hard way.

Hocks are nasty too

I’m back in stand. West end, just north of where the buck was this morning, where I saw the BIG buck a while back. Starting to think these deer have me patterned better than I have them. LOL, I would sit where the buck was this morning, but it’s just not set up for xbow. Dang good rifle stand though. He better tighten up before next Saturday. Good hunts to all this evening!!

53 here with a decent wind, bringing some colder temps in the morning, 30ish.

Back on stand! I’m on doe patrol so we know how this hunt will go

I’m in a 10ft soft sided tower down in the woods overlooking a tiny green plot and a big CRP (think tall hay) field.

It’s 35 with a stiff breeze from SE which would be hitting me pretty good in my left eye but I’m in this tent so there’s that.

Good luck folks.

OTG watching a field edge. Wanted to hang a stand here but felt I didn't have time. Might do that tomorrow. Been wanting to try this stuff out anyway. It's a reed privacy screen. 6'x16'. Too tall but I leaned it over. Cut some firing strips at a hard angle to push in the ground to tie this stuff too. Ground us frozen so just leaned into the wind. 4 wheeler behind it too to prop against. Probably fall over if a deer happens by. Needed to have weathered it some too. It's bright. Threw a few weeds against it but it's stands out especially with the evening sun on it. Not very hopeful but who knows. I can see a looking way so maybe get a good look to plan for tomorrow anyway. Not a good signal so pics later. Creek is mostly frozen over now too. Good luck folks.
