Just had a beautiful young nine pointer 5 yards in front of the stand and up wind. He didn’t have a clue. If only it had been his daddy or grandpappy. Oh well…got a cool video

I’m taking this AM off. We have a steady light rain falling in my part of Gods country. There is a time and place to be hard, and this am is neither. Best of luck to you guys out there. I will try to get out this afternoon. Weather looks iffy for the next two days or so.

Thought I was gonna change my luck so got out a slice of pound cake and proceeded to get a piece caught in my throat so coughed for 5 minutes and then started raining hard so glad that piece is gone

Just laid down a fine rattling session and in walks a six pointer straight to me. Well I guess he was a six because half his rack already broke off. Crazy how a young buck that has already been whipped and been broke off will come to the horns.

First cup in an Illinois tree this year. No it's not hot chocolate. That would be tasty though.

Just beyond the dark brown weeds but before light colored is a heavy trail I failed to notice yesterday.

The deer come down the opposite bank in a lot of places but seem to all come out here. That's where this stand needs to be.

Sitting probably my last sit in Georgia before heading to Kansas next weekend. East wind making it rough to find a decent spot on the farm but tucked into a ground blind on a swamp/hardwood food plot transition. Hoping this guy eases through

I had things going in the right direction, looking forward to hunting season. Then this mess with Mom came up, and my heart just ain’t in it right now.
